Since our observations occurred in January, one would expect warmer temperatures in the southern hemisphere and cooler temperatures in the northern hemisphere, given the tilt of the earth. Our data supports this trend. Interestingly, temperatures remained steadily warm within about 20 degrees of the equator, before showing a steady and sharp decline as you move further north of the equator.
